Tragedy has struck the Big Brother Naija community with the passing of Francisca Owumi, a former contestant on the show.

The reality TV star, who was the runner-up on the inaugural season of BBNaija in 2006, succumbed to a brief illness on August 29, 2024.

Her family announced her demise on social media, bidding farewell to their beloved daughter and sister with a heartfelt message: “May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”

Francisca Owumi was a vibrant presence in the BBNaija house, showcasing her impressive dance moves alongside fellow contestants, including winner Katung Aduwak, Gideon Okeke, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, and Maureen Osuji. After her time on the show, she pursued a music career, releasing singles like “Diva” and “Gbadun You,” leaving behind a legacy as a talented and fiery performer.
