Funke Akindele Attributes Her Success to Hard Work and Dedication, Says “Nobody Made Me a Star”.

Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, has stated that she owes her success in the film industry to her hard work, dedication, and God.

According to the actress, her big break came in 2008 when she starred in the movie ‘Jenifa’, which became a huge success. She, however, attributed her ability to sustain the brand’s popularity to the advice she received from veteran singer D’banj.

Akindele explained that D’banj encouraged her to continue with the ‘Jenifa’ brand, which has since become a household name.

With a career spanning over two decades, Funke Akindele has established herself as one of the most successful actresses in Nollywood.

Her rise to fame began with her starring role in the popular sitcom ‘I Need to Know’, which aired from 1998 to 2002.
