Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme Saves Lives of Six Enugu Residents in Recent Successful Interventions”

In a recent series of life-saving surgical interventions, Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, owned and funded by former Enugu State Governor Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, successfully rescued six residents. Among the beneficiaries were Ebubechukwu Peace Eke from Orba in Udenu Local Government, Samuel Pius, a 6-year-old from Obukpa, Ugwu Sampson Ugochukwu from Amalla Orba, Onwura Stephenia NK from Eha-Alumona in Nsukka, Emmanuel Ezugwu from Edem in Nsukka, and Ugwu Chimobi from Ugbene-Ajima in Enugu State.

Ebubechukwu underwent a Lumpectomy to address multiple bilateral breast lumps, Samuel had corrective surgery for Right Hydrocoele of the cord, Ugwu Sampson Ugochukwu had an inguinoscrotal hernia with associated Hydrocoele corrected, Onwura Stephenia NK had a successful treatment for a Giant Lipoma on the right hip, Emmanuel Ezugwu had a Giant Lipoma on the forehead corrected, and Ugwu Chimobi received surgical intervention for an abnormal chest growth.

Dr. Ajogwu, Director-General of Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, expressed gratitude to Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for continued support and acknowledged the recent success in saving lives. He commended the commitment of the current administration, led by Governor Barr Peter Mbah and Deputy Governor Barr Ifeanyi Ossai, to transformative healthcare initiatives.

Dr. Ajogwu emphasized the collective duty of citizens to enhance the well-being of others, echoing the commitment of Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Governor Barr Peter Mbah, and Deputy Governor Barr Ifeanyi Ossai. The recent achievements signal a promising start for healthcare in 2024, bringing hope for positive transformations in public health throughout the year.
