‘Hungry Man, Wike Defeated You’ — FCT Minister’s Aide Lere Olayinka Mocks Amaechi Over Claim to Defeat Tinubu in 2027
Lere Olayinka, Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, has taken a sharp swipe at former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, following Amaechi’s claim that he knows how to defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Amaechi made the assertion during a public discussion on an X Space, confidently stating that he understands President Tinubu’s weaknesses and would defeat him if given the opportunity by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
However, Olayinka mocked Amaechi’s confidence, reminding him of his repeated defeats by Wike, questioning how Amaechi could claim victory over Tinubu when he has consistently lost to Wike over the years.
In a post on X, Olayinka wrote:
“Hungry man Amaechi was a sitting governor in 2015 when Wike defeated him.
Hungry man Amaechi was a minister in 2019 when Wike defeated him.
Hungry man Amaechi just left office as a minister in 2023 when Wike defeated him.
The same hungry man Amaechi now boasts that he knows how to defeat Tinubu, a sitting president.
‘I know Tinubu’s weaknesses, will defeat him if ADC gives me ticket’ Amaechi.
Me: Just the way he defeated Tinubu in the APC primary of 2022 nah. Alawada.com.”
Olayinka’s remarks reflect the ongoing political rivalry and tensions within Nigeria’s political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections.
