Husband Shocked as Wife Pays Only ₦145k for Daughter’s School Fees Despite Receiving ₦480k

A Nigerian man has shared a shocking discovery about his daughter’s school fees, leaving social media buzzing.

The man revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he had been sending ₦480,000 to his wife for their daughter’s education, trusting her to handle the payments. To his surprise, he later found out that the actual school fees were just ₦145,000.

“I was complaining about the assignments, saying I can’t be paying ₦480k while they still give me assignments.
They then told me, ‘No, our school fees is ₦145k.’ I was in shock. I had to stop and think about my life. Men, learn from my experience. I am in pain right now,” he wrote.

Upon visiting the school personally, he confirmed that only ₦145,000 had been paid. According to him, his wife had visited three schools before picking the most expensive one, claiming it was for their daughter’s “best life.”

The revelation left the man feeling betrayed, sparking widespread discussion online about financial honesty and transparency in marriages.
