“I have two guns”– Ruger

Nigerian artist Michael Adebayo Olayinka, professionally known as Ruger, recently shared that he possesses a pair of firearms.

This revelation came during a conversation about the origin of his stage name in a recent interview with content creator Timi Agbaje.

When asked about the meaning behind the name Ruger, the singer straightforwardly stated that it is gun-related.

Further inquiry led to Ruger confirming that he indeed owns two firearms.

Regarding firearm issuance, the Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, mentioned last year that there is a current suspension on the granting of firearms licenses.

The focus at present is on retrieving arms that are in unauthorized circulation.

Egbetokun emphasized that there might be a reassessment of this policy in the future, but for now, the issuance of firearms permits across the country remains on hold.
