Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Mariam Apaokagi, widely known as Taaooma, has shared a heartfelt reflection on her journey into motherhood, describing it as a deeply transformative experience that revealed a level of love and strength she never knew she had.
In an exclusive interview with Pulse Nigeria, the multi-talented skit maker opened up about the profound emotional shift she experienced after the birth of her daughter.
“I never thought I could love anyone more than myself,” she admitted. “But with her, I love her more than I love myself.”
Taaooma emphasized that motherhood has pushed her beyond her perceived limits, helping her discover inner strength and resilience.
“I realized there’s no such thing as ‘I can’t do it’ when you become a mother,” she said. “Even when you think you’re at your breaking point, you somehow find a way to keep going.”
The comedian, who rose to fame through her hilarious online skits portraying African family dynamics, got engaged to her longtime partner, Abdulaziz Oladimeji (Abula), in Namibia back in February 2020.
The couple tied the knot on January 24, 2021, and welcomed their baby girl in 2024. Taaooma publicly introduced their daughter in a touching video shared on December 5.
