“I Thought Marlian Family Was Home” — Daniel Regha Resurfaces Mohbad’s Old Tweet Amid VDM and Iyabo Ojo Clash

Popular social media commentator, Daniel Regha, has reignited the “Justice for Mohbad” conversation by sharing an old tweet from the late singer, Mohbad, amid the intensifying online drama involving controversial figure VeryDarkMan (VDM) and Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.

The ongoing controversy took a fresh turn after VDM accused Iyabo Ojo of reneging on an alleged agreement to publicly apologize in a bid to exonerate singer Naira Marley, the head of Marlian Music, where Mohbad was once signed.

VDM claimed that the actress had made the promise during a visit to a police station, but later refused to follow through. In response, Iyabo Ojo went live on social media, offering a contradicting version of the events.

The clash quickly escalated into a heated back-and-forth on social platforms, with Naira Marley himself subtly responding to the fray through cryptic posts.

Amid the tensions, Daniel Regha took to X (formerly Twitter) to highlight Mohbad’s own words from an October 2022 tweet nearly a year before his tragic death where the young artist expressed pain over his experience with the Marlian Music label.

“The events of the last two days have left indelible scars in my heart. I have always just wanted to create good music and to provide for my family and myself through my music. As an Artiste from the street, I thought the Marlian Family would be a good place for me,” Mohbad wrote.

Regha’s move drew support from several users who argued that VDM’s comments were an attempt to rewrite history and undermine Mohbad’s documented grievances.

One user wrote, “VDM is trying to change the whole story as if Mohbad himself didn’t speak up about this.” Another added, “This video was made in October 2022, he died nearly a year later. But some people want to shift focus from the real question what happened in that house before his death?”

As the debate rages on, the call for justice for Mohbad remains a deeply emotional and contentious issue, with many demanding clarity about the circumstances surrounding his untimely passing on September 12, 2023.
