“I was scamming banks even before 419 became popular”– Charly Boy.
Renowned musician Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, recently shared an intriguing revelation during the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he was in conversation with actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly called Nedu.
Charly Boy confessed to engaging in fraudulent activities with banks even before the infamous 419 fraud became widespread in Nigeria.
In the podcast, he candidly admitted, “I was involved in scamming banks. Even before the widespread emergence of 419, I was already involved in that to some extent.”
When Nedu probed further, Charly Boy confirmed that he indeed successfully conducted such activities.
Charly Boy elaborated on his personal life by revealing that he became a father at the young age of 16.
He also reiterated his support and compassion for individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, recounting an incident where an individual transitioned from being a woman to a man after they had been together.
In a compelling shift, Charly Boy expressed a desire for a different kind of relationship, noting that he now seeks a partner who challenges him and encourages him to be vulnerable.
