I will Serve You With Utmost Sincerity, Hon Atu Assures’ Constituents.

The member representing Enugu North and South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Chimaobi Sam Atu has reassured his constituents that his emergence will engender propitious development that will benefit all.

Hon Atu gave this reassurance on Sunday, during a thanksgiving /civic reception ceremony organised for him by his constituents at his Country home, Ugwuaji in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.

He stated that, his utmost desire is to provide quality representation that would forster unprecedented development for his people.

He posited that, to achieve this, he would need to work closely with the newly inaugurated leadership of the House as well as his colleagues and also utilise the opportunity given to him by the leadership of the house as a member of their adhoc committee on legislative agenda .

According to him “My colleagues in the Labour Party and I are willing to engage in a bipartisan process that will serve our people and the entire country. If You recall, you would remember that during the first plenary of the 10th National Assembly, I moved a motion on the need to urgently address the growing threat of gully erosion at the New market/Ugwuonyeama/9th mile road; a motion that was supported immensely by the House . It was also the first motion moved by a new lawmaker in the 10th Assembly. The speaker graciously appointed me a member of the House Ad-hoc committee on legislative agenda, which I would use the opportunity, to make impacts that will affect my constituents positively ,”.


Hon Atu also stated that, his passion for a better Enugu North and South, has elixired his zeal to commence the establishment of a Tech Hub in Enugu North and South Local Government Areas, which he is doing in partnership with the ministry of Digital Communications; with an aim of improving the skills of young people in artificial intelligence, coding, Web design, oracle, social media marketing amongst others.

He also went further to reiterate his commitment in making Enugu North and South being at par with the world’s best practice in development by promoting agriculture, education and technology.

“Agriculture is one critical sector that will gulp my attention in the house; as the world gradually moves away from fossil fuel, agriculture and technology must be given all the backing they deserve. Education is also my top priority, because without education, this nation is doomed; I will also perform oversight functions to ensure quality and time delivery of budgeted infrastructure in our constituency”

He however dedicated his Victory to God, whom he said, used Mr Peter Obi to make it a reality; while also thanking all those who made efforts in ensuring that his victory, was made manifest.

“I am very grateful to God, who used Peter Obi’s involvement in the 2023 election to bring fortune to us.
