“If I was president for a day, women won’t pay for anything” – Ayra Starr reveals

Nigerian songstress, Ayra Starr, a nominee for the prestigious Grammy award, shared her thoughts on what she would prioritize if given the opportunity to serve as president for a day.

During a recent conversation with MTV UK, the ‘Rush’ singer expressed her intention to ensure that women and children receive essential services without any cost involved.

In response to a question about the laws she would put in place as president, Ayra Starr highlighted her focus on providing free necessities to women and children if she held the influential position for a day.

The interview asked, “If you were a president for a day, what would you do, what laws would you enact?”

She replied,

“If I was president for a day, I would make sure women don’t have to pay for anything. Everything free. All the bags, all the jewellery, food.

“Women and children won’t have to pay for anything. Always and forever!”.
