Ifgreen Foods Wins National MSME of the Year 2025 and Excellence in Agriculture Award.

Ifgreen Foods, under the leadership of Group Managing Director Ifeoma Mary Okonkwo, has been honored with the National MSME of the Year 2025 award alongside the Award of Excellence in Agriculture, during a prestigious ceremony held at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The innovative agribusiness company, renowned for its cassava-based food products such as gluten-free flour, biofortified garri, odorless fufu, cassava starch, and fibre-rich flour (IfgreenVita), was recognized for its sustainability, community empowerment initiatives, and outstanding social impact.

Speaking at the event, Okonkwo described the recognition as a celebration of her team’s dedication and a validation of their vision to transform lives through green, quality foods. “This is more than a plaque,” she said. “It is a testament to the tireless efforts of our team, the trust of our customers, and the belief that sustainable, nutritious foods can change communities.”

The award highlights Ifgreen Foods’ remarkable journey from a bold entrepreneurial vision to becoming a leading indigenous brand in Nigeria’s cassava industrialization sector. By integrating local farmers into its value chain, the company has promoted climate-smart agriculture, reduced environmental impact, and delivered affordable, nutritious foods to households nationwide.

Judges praised Ifgreen for its strong growth, innovation, and positive influence on local economies. The awards host commended the company as “a benchmark for responsible, scalable business that benefits both people and the planet.”

Looking ahead, Ifgreen Foods aims to expand its product portfolio, strengthen partnerships with farmers, and reach more households across Nigeria with affordable, healthy food options. The company also plans to deepen its investment in sustainability and community development initiatives that align with Nigeria’s economic and environmental goals.

Expressing gratitude, Okonkwo acknowledged the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, and Special Adviser on MSMEs & Job Creation, Temitola Adekunle Johnson, for their commitment to empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs.

With this double recognition, Ifgreen Foods cements its place as a leader in agribusiness, combining innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment to drive change across sub-Saharan Africa.
