Additionally federal government allocations to the state have increased substantially providing a solid financial foundation for these wage adjustments.
Governor Uzodimma praised the administration’s efforts in debt reduction, which has seen the state’s debt profile drop by 60 percent to N99 billion.
He emphasized that the fiscal growth allows for increased investment in infrastructure, social services and improved workers’ welfare.
Earlier reports confirm that the state government has implemented digital revenue reforms, creating jobs and modernizing tax collection.
The governor highlighted ongoing projects including road construction, educational advancement and healthcare facility upgrades.
Labor unions in the state have welcomed the new wage increment commending the governor for addressing the economic challenges facing workers and improving their livelihoods.
