“In 2020, I Used to Sell Bedbug Killer”- Brainjotter
Popular Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuebuka Amuzie, also known as Brainjotter, created quite a stir with some revelations about his humble beginnings.
During an interview with Kim Oprah, a star from Big Brother Naija, Brainjotter shared how his perception of heroes changed after 2020.
He explained that prior to that year, he didn’t have any heroes in his life, but things changed afterwards.
As part of the interview, Kim Oprah played a video from 2019 in which Brainjotter had just begun his comedic career. Reflecting on that time, Brainjotter opened up about the challenges he faced. He revealed that before gaining admission to the University of Lagos in 2020, he worked as a laundry worker to make ends meet.
Brainjotter disclosed that he was earning a mere N15,000 at that time. However, he later transitioned to working as a vendor who specialized in exterminating bedbugs, and his income increased to N30,000. Prior to his skits going viral, this was the highest salary he had achieved. Today, he is recognized as one of Nigeria’s highest-earning skit makers.
Brainjotter’s journey showcases the transformative power of hard work, determination, and seizing opportunities, leading him to overcome adversities and achieve success in his comedic career.
