“It’s Just Acting!” – Mosun Filani Responds After Fan Criticizes Her Role in Konge 3

Nollywood actress Mosun Filani has addressed backlash from a fan who expressed disappointment over her role in the recently released movie Konge 3, directed by Wumi Toriola.

The fan, who once admired the actress, commented online that watching Filani in the film changed her perception of the star. The message read, “I really like you, but from the day I watched Konge, I have a different perspective about you.”

Responding directly to the criticism, Mosun clarified that her portrayal was strictly professional. “Haaa, na movie o. If I no act well, na una go complain. I did a good job, now una don dey hate me,” she wrote in reply.

She later took to her Instagram page to further address the issue, reminding fans that acting is a craft rooted in make-believe. She stressed that her on-screen character does not reflect her real-life personality.

“It’s a MOVIE! I got the script, got into character, and delivered perfectly for your enjoyment. That’s why it’s called MAKE BELIEVE!
NOTE: That’s not me. That’s not my personality in real life. I’ve experienced friendship and even family betrayal too. Watch the movie, learn from it, and move on. Don’t hate on the actors,” Filani stated.

Her firm yet respectful response has sparked a wider conversation online about the need to separate actors from the roles they play, and how audiences often unfairly project fictional characters onto real people.

Konge 3 continues to generate buzz for its intense performances and thought-provoking storyline.
