Jamie Vardy Picks No.10 Shirt at Cremonese After Leicester Exit.
Veteran striker Jamie Vardy has confirmed his new squad number at Serie A side Cremonese, choosing the iconic No.10 shirt as he begins life in Italy.
The 37-year-old forward ended his 13-year run wearing Leicester City’s No.9 jersey, with that number currently held by Manuel De Luca at Cremonese.
Vardy, who signed on a free transfer on deadline day, will lead Cremonese’s attack this season as the newly-promoted club look to establish themselves in the Italian top flight.
Cremonese also unveiled shirt numbers for other summer signings, including:
- Faris Moumbagna – No.14
- Jeremy Sarmiento – No.19
- Mikayil Faye – No.30
The Lombardy-based club were among the busiest in the transfer market, strengthening their squad with both permanent deals and loans. Key additions include Federico Baschirotto, Jari Vandeputte, Antonio Sanabria, Giuseppe Pezzella, Andrea Fulignati, and Marco Silvestri.
They further reinforced the squad with loan arrivals such as Martin Payero, Warren Bondo, Filippo Terracciano, Alessio Zerbin, Emil Audero, Romano Floriani Mussolini, alongside Sarmiento and Faye.
With Vardy’s experience and the new arrivals, Cremonese will be aiming to make a strong statement in their return to Serie A after last season’s playoff promotion.
