Nigerian Afrobeats star Jaywon has set the record straight regarding speculations that he’s taken sides in the ongoing tension between fellow artists Wizkid and Davido.

In a video shared on his TikTok page, the “This Year” hitmaker firmly rejected the notion that his friendship with Davido equates to hostility toward Wizkid.

Jaywon described such assumptions as baseless and illogical, stating:

“So because I’m close to Davido, that has automatically made me an enemy of Wizkid? Please make it make sense. Make me understand this. I don’t get it.”

He stressed that his relationship with one artist does not and should not imply animosity toward another.

According to Jaywon, people often misinterpret normal friendships in the music industry as declarations of loyalty or opposition.
