Jigan Baba Oja Denies Involvement in Alleged WhatsApp Group Sabotaging Mohbad Justice Efforts
Nollywood actor Jigan Baba Oja has publicly addressed accusations leveled against him by social media personality VeryDarkMan, who claimed the actor is part of a covert WhatsApp group working to undermine the ongoing pursuit of justice for the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.
The controversy escalated after VeryDarkMan alleged that actress Iyabo Ojo led the group, accusing several other celebrities, including Jigan, of colluding to suppress the truth surrounding Mohbad’s untimely death.
During a TikTok live session, Jigan firmly rejected the claims, refusing to release any chat history or further evidence. He maintained his innocence, stating, “If you like, listen to my explanation, so fine. Do I even owe you an explanation? No! As long as my conscience is so pure; that’s what matters.”
Shortly after, the actor took to Instagram with a cryptic post that appeared to be aimed at his accuser. In his words:
“So fast Nigerians ain’t asking for the evidences no more! Something you paid 20m to achieve and you can’t post it no longer! Are we still in the slavery era? Na leg dey pain me not my brain! We shall see to the end of this! Thank you Allah, Olujo Mimo!”
The post has triggered mixed reactions online, with some netizens questioning the legitimacy of the allegations and others calling for greater transparency from all involved parties.
As debates intensify, the public remains divided—demanding truth, accountability, and justice for Mohbad, whose death continues to spark national conversations.
