Joe Igbokwe Calls for Soldier’s Dismissal Over Clash with FCT Minister Wike

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, has publicly condemned a soldier involved in a viral confrontation with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike during an inspection in Abuja.

The incident unfolded when the soldier reportedly blocked Wike and officials from accessing a disputed plot of land, insisting he was acting on orders. This prompted a heated exchange, which quickly went viral on social media, drawing nationwide attention.

Taking to Facebook, Igbokwe described the soldier’s actions as insubordination and a direct challenge to government authority.

He demanded immediate disciplinary action, even calling for the officer’s uniform to be removed. Igbokwe questioned who might have been backing the soldier, emphasising that such conduct was unacceptable and undermined respect for government officials.

In his post, he wrote:
“Who is this man in uniform? Of what meat is he fed? Who is beating the drum for him? This is unacceptable. His uniform has to be removed.”

The statement has sparked debate online, adding to the ongoing discussions around the viral clash between Wike and military personnel.
