John CDO Claims Peter Obi Declined Helping With Kanu Nwankwo’s Surgery, Asserts Tinubu Gave Financial Support.

Gospel music crusader and businessman, John CDO Ikeotuoye, has alleged that former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, once turned down football legend Nwankwo Kanu’s request for financial assistance during his heart surgery.

Speaking on the Talk True Podcast, John claimed that Obi told Kanu he would not spend money on such a cause.

According to him, the ex-Super Eagles captain then turned to Bola Tinubu, then Lagos State governor, who allegedly stepped in to cover the cost of the life-saving procedure.

John further accused Obi of making present-day hospital donations for political reasons rather than genuine philanthropy.

“When Kanu had a heart problem, Peter Obi was one of the first people he approached for help. Obi told him that is not what he would use his money for.

Kanu then went to Lagos to meet Bola Tinubu, and Tinubu paid for his surgery,” he alleged.
