Just Adetoun Condemns TikTok Stars Peller and Jarvis Over Viral Abuse Videos, Warns of Legal Action

Nigerian social activist Just Adetoun has publicly criticized popular TikTok duo, Habeeb Hamzat (Peller) and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata (Jarvis/Jadrolita), following a series of viral videos showing Peller repeatedly hitting Jarvis under the guise of content creation.

Adetoun expressed deep concern over the negative influence such videos may have on impressionable audiences, especially children and young people who might view the behavior as acceptable or entertaining.

Speaking in a strongly worded statement, she accused the influencers of normalizing abuse and disrespect in relationships, stressing that their content has consequences beyond entertainment.

“You have one boy, one girl looking at your actions and definitely wanting to emulate you, but we will not accept it when the consequences of your actions push negative energy into our children,” she said.

Adetoun, who often advocates for women and children’s rights, warned Peller and Jarvis to take responsibility for their digital influence.

She insisted that content portraying hitting, bullying, or verbal abuse cannot be excused as “just entertainment” and vowed that further incidents would be met with legal measures.

“Peller and Jarvis, you must filter what you put before the public in the name of content creation. We will not accept you hitting, bullying, or talking down on a woman. These wrong messages have lasting effects on society. If this happens again, we will not take it lightly with you,” she warned.

The activist’s stance sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians divided. Some applauded her for speaking out, while others questioned whether the couple’s chaotic relationship style should be considered abuse or simply personal dynamics.
