Katsina Governor Radda Survives Road Accident on Return from Buhari Condolence Visit

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, narrowly escaped harm in a road accident on Sunday evening while travelling along the busy Daura-Katsina highway.

The incident occurred shortly after the governor departed Daura, where he had paid a condolence visit to the family of Nigeria’s late former President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Governor Radda’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, confirmed the incident in a statement released to journalists. He assured the public that the governor was unharmed and is in stable condition.

According to the statement, Governor Radda is currently undergoing routine medical evaluation in Daura, with medical professionals attending to him.

The statement also expressed appreciation to residents and supporters for their prayers and concern, emphasizing the governor’s gratitude for divine protection during the incident.

The Daura-Katsina Road, a major route connecting the state capital to Buhari’s hometown, has experienced increased traffic in recent weeks due to a surge in political activity and high-profile visits.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact cause of the accident or whether other vehicles were involved.
