Kemi Badenoch Vows to Deport 150,000 Illegal Migrants from the UK Every Year

United Kingdom Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch has announced a tough new immigration policy that aims to deport 150,000 illegal migrants annually, promising a US-style crackdown to restore control over Britain’s borders.

In a video message posted on her official X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, Badenoch unveiled what she described as the “Radical Borders Plan” — a policy she claims will mark the most aggressive immigration reform in modern British history.

The plan includes the creation of a new Removals Force, modeled after the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to identify, detain, and deport migrants who do not have legal status to remain in the United Kingdom.

Badenoch criticized both the Conservative and Labour parties for what she called years of “failure and indecision” on border control, accusing Labour of overseeing record illegal crossings and wasting millions on asylum accommodations.

“Today, I’m launching our Radical Borders Plan — the toughest reforms Britain has ever seen to border laws and operations,” Badenoch declared. “Successive governments have failed on immigration. Labour promised to smash the gangs. Only the Conservatives have the courage and clarity to fix this.”

She added firmly, “If you are in the UK illegally, you will be detained and deported. Britain needs a serious, credible plan — and the backbone to deliver it.”

The announcement has sparked intense public debate, with immigration and human rights groups warning that the move could lead to mass detentions and wrongful deportations.

However, Badenoch maintains that strong enforcement is necessary to restore public trust in the UK’s immigration system, insisting that her policy is about “fairness, accountability, and national security.”

The plan, if implemented, could mark one of the strictest immigration crackdowns in Britain’s recent history, with thousands of undocumented residents — including Nigerians and other Africans — at risk of removal.
