Kendrick Lamar Named Billboard’s Top Artist of 2024

American rapper Kendrick Lamar has been recognized as the ‘Greatest Pop Star’ of 2024 by Billboard, following an impressive run on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

His hip-hop feud with Canadian rapper Drake led to the release of several chart-topping songs, including the number one single ‘Not Like Us.’

This achievement makes Lamar the first rapper to receive this title since Drake in 2018.

Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ has tied with other songs as the longest-running number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with all the longest-running number one songs now being by Black lead artists.
