Kwam1 Involved in Airport Scare as ValueJet Aircraft Nearly Hits Him in Abuja
Popular Fuji icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as Kwam1, was involved in a tense incident at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, narrowly avoiding being struck by a moving ValueJet aircraft.
The near-miss reportedly occurred on Wednesday as Kwam1 was preparing to board a ValueJet flight to Lagos.
According to eyewitness accounts, the airline crew requested the legendary musician to disembark due to an alleged breach of aviation regulations. While the exact nature of the violation remains unclear, the situation quickly escalated.
Visibly agitated, Kwam1 reportedly attempted to block the aircraft from taking off by stepping in front of it on the tarmac.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the singer is seen standing his ground as the aircraft slowly taxied toward him before he was pulled away by bystanders. The plane continued moving, missing him by a narrow margin.
The dramatic scene has sparked outrage and concern online, with many questioning how such a situation was allowed to unfold.
Aviation analysts and social commentators are demanding an immediate investigation, pointing to a potential breach in airport safety protocols by both the airline and security authorities.
There has been no official statement yet from ValueJet or the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) regarding the incident.
As public scrutiny grows, industry experts are emphasizing the need for strict enforcement of aviation safety rules, not just for passengers but also for ground personnel and public figures.
