Kwankwaso Accuses Atiku of Dishonesty at 80 in Presidential Dispute

In a recent statement, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for what he claims are falsehoods related to political agreements concerning the presidency.

Kwankwaso, who was addressing the Hausa Service of Radio France International, expressed his frustration at the notion that elderly politicians, particularly those around 80 years of age, would mislead clerics and political figures.

Kwankwaso stated, “I was deeply angered by this situation. It is unacceptable for someone of such an age to lie about agreements that never occurred.

As a living witness, I would certainly have connections among the assembled leaders who would inform me of any discussions.”

He further emphasized that a government built on dishonesty creates a weak foundation for leadership, posing a challenge to the credibility of those who might claim they could serve only one term if elected.
