Lady Sparks Reactions After Revealing She Studied Law in the Same Class as Her Father for Five Years
A young Nigerian lady has caused a buzz online after revealing that she and her father were classmates for five years while studying law at the same university.
Sharing her story on X (formerly Twitter), the lady explained that her father decided to pursue a law degree at the same time she gained admission into the same department. Coincidentally, they both got accepted into the same university and ended up in the same class throughout their five-year program.
In her words:
“My dad decided to get a law degree. He then went on to get it at the same time I was going to Uni — and at the same Uni too. We were coursemates for 5 years. We never sat together for exams or classes. I was the girl with her dad in her class.”
Her post quickly went viral, sparking a wave of reactions from social media users who found the story both inspiring and amusing.
Some praised the father’s determination to further his education and his daughter’s composure during such an unusual experience, while others joked about how awkward it must have been.
User Seyi Abraham commented:
“Just out of curiosity, did you like it, or would you have preferred to study separately?”
Another user, Obilor Michael, wrote humorously:
“You’re strong! I can’t do that. The way that man would be looking at me in class — I’d rather wait for him to graduate first.”
Obaremo David also shared a similar experience, saying:
“A mom once enrolled for ICAN just because her daughter was struggling to qualify — just to challenge her. Parents like that are rare.”
Meanwhile, The Godfather added playfully:
“So how would you collect allowance from him after class? 😂😭”
The heartwarming and funny story has since continued to trend across social media, with many users describing it as a unique example of family motivation, dedication, and shared ambition.
