Late Mohbad’s father demands DNA test on grandson

Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian rapper, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has requested a DNA test to determine the paternity of his grandson.

Earlier reports highlighted the division among Nigerians regarding the need for a DNA test on the late singer’s son, Liam, to establish his true biological father. While some believe it is crucial to conduct a DNA test due to allegations of infidelity by the singer’s wife, others argue that calling for a DNA test on Mohbad’s five-month-old son is “insensitive.”

However, during a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, Mohbad’s father insisted that a DNA test should be performed on his grandson, emphasizing that it has become a matter of global concern.

He stated, “This issue has gained worldwide attention, not just in Nigeria. Therefore, the proper course of action should be taken at the appropriate time.”
