Leaked Chats Allegedly Link Tonto Dikeh to Online Bullying Campaign Against Naira Marley and Sam Larry Over Mohbad’s Death
Controversial activist and social media personality VeryDarkMan has released leaked WhatsApp group messages that allegedly implicate Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh in a campaign of online harassment targeting music artists Naira Marley and Sam Larry.
The evidence, made public on July 28, 2025, has reignited debate surrounding the pursuit of justice for late Nigerian singer Mohbad, whose death last year drew widespread public outrage.
The leaked chats, dated October 13, 2023, reportedly show Dikeh expressing anger over the impending release on bail of Naira Marley and Sam Larry both of whom were linked to Mohbad’s death through online speculation and prior conflicts with the artist.
In the chat, Tonto is seen urging others to intensify social pressure through what she termed “bullying,” claiming she was in the presence of Department of State Services (DSS) operatives at the time of writing.
This development adds a controversial layer to Dikeh’s vocal stance in the justice campaign, where she had been previously praised for her efforts. However, the revelation that she allegedly encouraged public harassment while connected to federal security agents has sparked divided reactions online.
VeryDarkMan, who has consistently championed justice for Mohbad, accompanied the leaked messages with further claims that some Nigerian celebrities, including Iyabo Ojo and Davido’s public relations manager, were part of another WhatsApp group aimed at orchestrating his arrest due to his outspoken stance.
Social media platforms are currently flooded with reactions, as fans, critics, and observers continue to debate the ethics, implications, and possible legal consequences of the leaked communications. As of now, Tonto Dikeh has not issued an official response regarding the leaked messages.
