LP in Adamawa holds meeting with organized labour and stakeholders amidst lingering rift.

In an effort to resolve internal conflicts within the Adamawa State chapter of the Labour Party (LP), a portion of the party’s leadership met with organized labor and other stakeholders on Saturday. The aim of the meeting was to mend the existing rift within the party’s leadership.

The state executive committee of the party expressed disappointment over the absence of the disgruntled local government chairmen at the meeting.

In response, Nicholas, a member of the executive committee, emphasized the need for unity within the party, stating that they are striving for a united front without any conflicts.

He also stated that the concerns of the absent local government chairmen would not be taken seriously if they continue to disrupt the party’s activities.

Babale, the former chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in the state, criticized the way in which the local government chapter chairmen made their announcement about the removal of the Christopher Nicholas executive committee. He urged them to adhere to proper procedures and protocols.


“As far as organised labour is concerned, there is no issue in the state Labour Party again”.
