Mohbad’s Father Claims He Paid N16 Million for Second Autopsy.

Joseph Aloba, father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has revealed that he paid N16 million to a pathologist for a second autopsy on his son.

Speaking during a recent TikTok live session, Aloba clarified that the initial payment alone totaled N16 million, with additional expenses bringing the total to nearly N18 million.

“In all honesty, I paid the first installment of N16 million to the pathologist. After that, I spent close to N2 million. If the pathologist denies this, then disregard my statement,” he said.

Aloba addressed speculation suggesting the amount was N12 million, insisting that the correct figure is N16 million.

This disclosure comes a month after the independent autopsy and forensic medical review conducted by Dr. Uwom Eze failed to determine the exact cause of Mohbad’s death.

In June 2024, a Coroner Court in Ikorodu, Lagos, presided over by Magistrate T.A. Shotobi, authorized Aloba to engage a licensed pathologist for an independent postmortem examination.
