Veteran Nollywood actor Clem Ohameze has paid an emotional tribute to his only daughter, crediting her unwavering support with keeping him alive through his toughest battles.
The 60-year-old film icon revealed that his daughter has been his “pillar of strength” for more than two decades since he suffered a stroke. While his three sons have gone on to start their own families, she has dedicated her life to caring for him often at the cost of her own personal ambitions.
“If my daughter wasn’t born, I would have been gone more than a decade ago,” Ohameze said, speaking with deep emotion.
Reflecting on the experience, he added:
“You don’t know what God has done for you if you have a girl child. They are the only ones who will never give up on you.”
Ohameze also admitted that during his active career years, he had focused more attention and resources on his sons. Yet it is his daughter, he noted, who has shown the most steadfast devotion in his time of need.
