“My First Christmas as a Mum!” — Toke Makinwa Unveils Magical Festive Décor for Baby Yakira

Nigerian media star Toke Makinwa is embracing the holiday season with extra joy this year as she celebrates her very first Christmas as a mother. The excited new mum shared a touching video of her lavish Christmas décor, created specially for her daughter, baby Yakira.

In her Instagram post, Toke expressed how meaningful this festive season is for her, writing:
“Santa, please stop here for Yakira… Christmas 2025. A very personal one for me. It’s my first Christmas as a mom, my daughter’s first Christmas. New family tradition unlocked.”

The OAP and entrepreneur revealed that she personally decorated her home, hoping to recreate the warm holiday traditions she enjoyed growing up. She added that she can’t wait for the day little Yaya is old enough to help her hang ornaments and run around excitedly during the holidays.

Toke also shared that she had ordered custom ornaments from the day Yakira was born—and seeing them on the tree made the celebration even more special. According to her, baby Yakira is mesmerized by the twinkling lights and often gazes at the decorations in awe.

“’Tis the season, guys… prepare to be sick of me,” she teased.

Just weeks ago, Toke marked Yakira’s three-month milestone with adorable photos and reflections on how deeply motherhood has transformed her life. She welcomed Yakira Eliana in August at age 40 and dedicated her to God in a ceremony attended by several celebrities.
