Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Invites Akpabio to Kogi for Project Commissioning, Sparks Online Reactions

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central has invited Senate President Godswill Akpabio to commission her constituency projects in Kogi State, triggering a wave of reactions on social media.

The invitation, shared publicly during Thursday’s plenary session, has drawn both praise and criticism from Nigerians online.

In a letter personally signed by the Kogi lawmaker, she invited her colleagues to Ihima, Kogi State, on Sunday to mark her second anniversary in the Senate with the commissioning of her constituency projects.

Guests flying into the state were advised to land at Obajana Airstrip before proceeding by road to Ihima, with the event meeting point being her residence at Plot 101, Jimoh Akpoti Street, Okene.

Following the announcement, a visibly pleased Akpabio congratulated the senator, saying: “Congratulations in advance.”

The invitation has sparked lively discussions on social media. Some users advised Akpabio not to attend, while others praised Akpoti-Uduaghan for what they described as a “smart and reconciliatory move” aimed at easing their political differences.

Some comments suggested the invitation was intended to showcase her achievements despite previous funding challenges for her projects, while others expressed skepticism about her intentions.
