Netflix has officially responded to speculation regarding its potential departure from the Nigerian market. Reports have circulated that the streaming service might exit due to the country’s economic difficulties and regulatory challenges.

However, in a statement to TechCabal, Netflix clarified that it is committed to its operations in Nigeria.

The company emphasized its intention to continue investing in Nigerian stories to engage its audience, stating, “We are not exiting Nigeria.

We will continue to invest in the country’s stories to delight our members.” Since its launch in Nigeria in 2016, Netflix has successfully showcased numerous local productions to a global audience.
