New Mom’s Skincare Journey After Pregnancy Sparks Online Support.

A woman has gone viral on social media after openly sharing her dramatic facial transformation during pregnancy, shedding light on the often-overlooked effects of pregnancy hormones.

Identified as @ayyitslala on X (formerly Twitter), she posted a series of before-and-during pregnancy photos that revealed significant changes in her skin and facial features. Despite not experiencing morning sickness throughout her pregnancy, she explained that the hormonal changes had visibly altered her face.

“I’m grateful that I haven’t experienced morning sickness from the start of my pregnancy up to eight months now,” she wrote. “But my face has completely changed.”

She addressed the unsolicited comments from others, emphasizing that the transformation was temporary and caused by hormones, not makeup or skincare products. “This too shall pass,” she noted. “I really dislike it when people blame makeup or skincare products instead of understanding what I’m saying. To all new moms or anyone experiencing this, don’t worry.”

Following childbirth, she continued documenting her journey, sharing postpartum updates through comparison photos captioned “1 week postpartum vs 21 days postpartum.” She noted that while her skin was improving, it had not yet returned to its pre-pregnancy state.

Seeking professional help, she turned to Euphie Clinic, beginning with a gentle cleansing routine. By Day 27 postpartum, she started a treatment plan that included Fotona Rosacea Laser therapy to reduce inflammation and facial redness. Her doctors also prescribed topical and oral antibiotics, as well as a night cream to manage flare-ups and infection. However, she delayed taking oral medications because her newborn, Khaseh, was still recovering from jaundice.

She encouraged other mothers to be kind to themselves and trust their body’s healing process, promising to share more updates as her treatment progresses. Her transparency and courage sparked widespread support and opened up important conversations about postpartum realities.
