Nicki Minaj Accuses Jay-Z of Owing Her $200 Million Over Tidal Deal

American rap superstar Nicki Minaj has stirred controversy online after publicly accusing music mogul Jay-Z of owing her up to $200 million.

In a bold post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) account, Minaj claimed she was shortchanged in the equity payouts from the 2021 sale of music streaming platform Tidal, of which she was an investor.

“We’ve calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It’s only collecting more interest. You still in my Top 5 tho. Let’s get it, nigga,” she wrote.

The rapper stated that she had made several attempts to reach out privately, but has now gone public to push for resolution. She warned that continued delay in addressing the matter would only increase the interest on the alleged debt.

As of press time, Jay-Z has not issued any public response to the allegations.

The explosive claim has set social media abuzz, with fans and industry watchers speculating on the behind-the-scenes dealings of the Tidal sale and Minaj’s stake in the platform.

Jay-Z sold a majority stake in Tidal to Square (now Block Inc.) in 2021 for a reported \$297 million. At the time, the deal included payouts for several artists who held shares in the company, including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj.
