Nicki Minaj Faces Losing $20 Million Mansion Over Husband’s 2019 Assault Case
American rapper Nicki Minaj is reportedly at risk of losing her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion in Los Angeles due to an unpaid court judgment linked to her husband, Kenneth Petty’s 2019 assault case.
According to newly filed court documents, a German court ordered Minaj and Petty to pay $503,318 to former security chief Thomas Weidenmüller, who accused Petty of assaulting him backstage during the Nicki WRLD Tour in 2019. The altercation allegedly left Weidenmüller with a broken jaw that required several surgeries.
Legal filings obtained by The Real Deal indicate that Weidenmüller’s lawyers are now seeking to recover the unpaid judgment through the sale of Minaj’s property.
The documents reveal that the mansion carries a $13.2 million mortgage lien and a $722,000 homestead exemption, leaving about $6 million in equity enough to satisfy the court-ordered payment.
Weidenmüller’s legal team claims that both Minaj and Petty have ignored multiple payment requests, prompting their move to involve the court in enforcing the judgment.
Neither Nicki Minaj nor her husband has publicly responded to the latest development. The case adds to a string of legal and personal controversies the rapper has faced in recent months.
