“Nigeria Is Already at War, But Many Don’t Realize It” – OAP N6 Sounds the Alarm
Popular Nigerian rapper and on-air personality, Nnamdi Nwabasili, widely known as N6, has issued a chilling warning about the state of insecurity in the country, declaring that *“Nigeria is at war, Nigerians just don’t know it yet.”
In a video posted to his TikTok page, N6 reacted to the recent mass killing in Yelwata, Benue State, where over 200 lives were lost in a brutal attack. He argued that while many Nigerians in cities like Lagos and Abuja may feel safe, the horrors happening in rural areas paint a very different picture.
“The war has been on since 2016 or 2017,” he said. “Just because bombs aren’t falling in your neighbourhood doesn’t mean there’s no war. Go ask people in villages and remote towns. Nigeria is bleeding.”
N6 criticized the disconnect between urban dwellers and the rest of the country, warning that waiting for an official declaration of war is a dangerous illusion. “The signs are everywhere,” he added, urging Nigerians to stop ignoring the escalating violence that has gripped the nation.
His statement comes amid growing concerns about insecurity, insurgency, and unchecked violence, especially in the country’s northern and middle-belt regions.
