Nigerian Family Moves Back from UK After Nearly Three Years, Shares Reasons for Relocation

After spending nearly three years in the United Kingdom, a family has returned to Nigeria, capturing the attention of social media users.

The relocation was shared in a viral TikTok video posted on the account @PrincessAdedoyin.

While specific details behind the move remain private, the video shows the family arriving in Nigeria and settling into a new home.

In a follow-up post, @PrincessAdedoyin explained that they had not sold their previous house before moving abroad.

“Before we japa to the UK, we didn’t sell our house and not just any house, a brand new house we had just moved into. We stayed in it for only four months before relocating,” she wrote.

Addressing assumptions that the move was due to visa challenges or inability to secure sponsorship, she clarified that these were not the reasons for their return.

“Everybody’s journey is different and so are the choices we make for our families. Sometimes you pick peace, stability and a better long-term plan, not what people assume or expect,” she said.

She further emphasized the value of planning, noting, “Planning ahead really saves you from plenty of future trouble. Everyone’s journey is different, but this decision worked perfectly for us.”

The posts offer a glimpse into a family prioritizing stability and thoughtful planning in their life decisions.
