Nigerian Man Curses Killers of His Only Brother and Pregnant Sister-in-Law Murdered in Imo

A Nigerian man, Cornell Israel, has publicly cursed those who killed his only brother, Obinna, and sister-in-law, Ifenyinwa, who were among seven victims gunned down in Arondizuogu, Ideato Local Government Area of Imo State on July 24, 2025.

According to eyewitnesses, the attack occurred around 8:34 p.m. and claimed the lives of shop owners, customers, and passersby.

Cornell revealed in a Facebook post on August 7 that his sister-in-law was pregnant with their fifth child at the time of the shooting. The couple, both aged 34, are set to be buried in Abia State on Friday, August 8.

Grief-stricken and enraged, Cornell expressed his pain and placed a generational curse on those responsible for the murders.

He described Obinna as his closest sibling and partner in managing family responsibilities. They had planned to launch a project together in August before the tragedy struck.

Cornell recalled receiving the devastating news around 2 a.m. and finding their lifeless bodies the next morning.

He lamented that if his brother had been merely injured or ill, he could have been treated, but the brutal attack made him an only son overnight.

In his emotional post, he cursed the perpetrators, declaring that no member of their families would live beyond 34 years of age.

He prayed for the blood of his brother, his sister-in-law, and their unborn child to cry out against them, ending with a heartbreaking farewell: “Rest in peace bro, rest in peace, rest in peace bro till we meet to part no more. I will try to bear this with Christian fortitude.”
