Nigerian Man Tells Trump to “Back Off” Amid Military Threats, Says Tinubu Can Handle Nigeria

A Nigerian man has gone viral on social media after penning a public message to former U.S. President Donald Trump, urging him to stay out of Nigeria’s affairs amid reports of alleged military threats and intervention claims.

The statement followed Trump’s recent comments alleging targeted attacks on Christians in Nigeria and suggesting that the United States might take military action.

Trump reportedly warned that U.S. forces could be deployed to Nigeria over unverified reports of religious violence.

However, no official evidence has confirmed any widespread attacks based on religion. Sources also claim Trump directed the U.S. Department of War to prepare a possible response to the situation.

In response, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu dismissed the allegations of genocide, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to unity, religious tolerance, and Nigeria’s sovereignty.

Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria is capable of addressing its internal challenges without foreign interference.

Reacting to the controversy, a Nigerian X (formerly Twitter) user, identified as @Oba_Mayor24, directly addressed Trump online.
He wrote:

“President Donald Trump, please, Nigeria doesn’t have religious problems. We agree that we have an insecurity problem, but it is not a religious problem. We don’t need your help. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can handle our problems. Thank you.”

The post quickly gained widespread attention and stirred conversations across social media platforms, with many Nigerians echoing similar sentiments about protecting the country’s sovereignty and rejecting external intervention.
