Nigerian Streamer Peller Declines 500K Ghana Cedis Offer to Relocate, Citing Loyalty to Nigeria

Nigerian streamer and TikTok creator Peller recently revealed that he was offered 500,000 Ghana cedis, approximately $38,000, to relocate to Ghana and encourage more young people to join the live streaming community in the country.

However, he turned down the lucrative offer, citing his deep loyalty and faithfulness to Nigeria, his homeland.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Peller shared that the offer was made by certain people who wanted him to nationalize in Ghana. Despite the financial incentive, the young content creator emphasized his commitment to stay true to Nigeria.

Peller had earlier visited Ghana earlier this year, where he was hosted by the popular Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale. Reflecting on the offer, Peller said, “Ghana dey offer me 500 thousand cedis. They wanted to buy me. But the faith and honesty I have for Nigeria…”

The revelation sparked a range of reactions from netizens. Some mocked the proposal, questioning the rationale behind offering such a sum to an influencer, while others respected Peller’s patriotism. Comments included critiques of Ghanaians’ work ethic and debates about the value content creators bring to the entertainment industry.

Despite mixed reactions, Peller’s decision highlights the complexities influencers face when balancing financial opportunities and national allegiance.
