Nigerian Youths Stage Protest, Demand Justice for Mohbad Amid VeryDarkMan’s Probes

Nigerian youths have taken to the streets to demand justice for the late singer Mohbad, staging a protest against social media commentator Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan.

Viral videos from the demonstration show protesters holding placards with inscriptions such as “We don’t want VDM” and “We want justice for Mohbad”, while chanting in unison for accountability in the ongoing investigation into the singer’s controversial death.

The protest comes after VeryDarkMan made a series of allegations suggesting that certain Nigerian celebrities were attempting to frustrate the pursuit of justice in Mohbad’s case.

He accused actress Iyabo Ojo of allegedly spearheading a WhatsApp group alongside music producer Samklef, Dre DMW, and actor Jigan Baba Oja which he claimed was used to spread misinformation and even contributed to his own arrest.

Public reactions to the protest have been mixed. While some critics dismissed the demonstrators as being paid to act, others defended VeryDarkMan, insisting that his revelations have shed light on details that authorities have failed to act upon.

The controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death continues to stir strong emotions across Nigeria, with calls growing louder for a thorough and transparent investigation that will finally bring closure to his grieving fans and family.
