Nigeria’s Flying Eagles Narrowly Lose 0-1 to Ivory Coast in WAFU B U20 Boys Cup Final

Nigeria’s U20 football team, the Flying Eagles, narrowly lost 0-1 to Ivory Coast in the final of the WAFU B U20 Boys Cup held in Accra, Ghana. The match concluded on Wednesday ending Nigeria’s bid to retain the title.

The Young Elephants of Ivory Coast secured victory with a decisive goal deep into stoppage time. Nigerian goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt mishandled a free-kick allowing Zakaria Tindano of Ivory Coast to score the only goal of the match. Despite Nigeria’s resilient efforts throughout the game, the Flying Eagles could not find the back of the net.

Ivory Coast completed an unbeaten run throughout the tournament, winning all five of their matches and demonstrating strong discipline and tactical superiority.
