Nigerian goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt mishandled a free-kick allowing Zakaria Tindano of Ivory Coast to score the only goal of the match. Despite Nigeria’s resilient efforts throughout the game, the Flying Eagles could not find the back of the net.

Ivory Coast completed an unbeaten run throughout the tournament, winning all five of their matches and demonstrating strong discipline and tactical superiority.
