Nkanu East PDP Commends Governor Mbah’s Commitment to Infrastructure and Democracy

The members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nkanu East Local Government Area have been urged to remain steadfast with the party as Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is committed to making the party one of the best and delivering the dividends of democracy.

The member representing Nkanu East state constituency, Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon. Okey Mba made this known on Friday during the local government party meeting held at Nkanu East Local Government Area Secretariat, Amagunze.

He stated that Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is thankful to all the leaders and members of the party in the local government for their efforts during the 2023 general elections, which resulted in one of their sons emerging as the Governor of Enugu State.

He posited that Governor Peter Ndubuisi is seriously working on basic infrastructure, especially roads, that will connect communities in the Nkanu East Local Government Area to boost their economy.

“I am here to bring you a message of gratitude from His Excellency for your total support towards the party during the 2023 general elections.”

“His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah said I should thank you for your steadfastness, as that helped and ensured that his victory manifested.”

“Your votes were very integral to our electoral success, which also included mine.”

“Our governor asked us to remain committed to the party and also remember him in your prayers to deliver.”

Hon. Okey Mba also commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on behalf of the local government party leaders and members for the infrastructural progress made so far by his administration across the state, especially the ongoing road construction in the local government.

He stated that the roads, when completed, will enhance economic growth, reduce hardship, and usher in phenomenal developments that will make the local government enviable.

“I want to use this opportunity to also thank our leader for the good works he is doing in our dear state, which have also reached us in Nkanu East Local Government Area.”

“We are currently experiencing unimaginable road construction that will bring an end to some of the sufferings encountered by our people.”

“The ongoing construction of the Isi Uzo – Amankanu – Ubahu – Owo Road, Amechi Idodo – Amagunze – Ugbawka – Nara – Nome Road, among others, are testaments to Governor Mbah’s commitment to making Nkanu East one of the best, and we are very grateful for that.”

On the party’s congresses, Hon. Okey Mba urged all the members to work assiduously in ensuring a hitch-free congress by producing capable and reliable leaders that will champion a formidable force for them.

He assured all that the congresses will be very democratic and devoid of any external influence, as the PDP, led by Governor Peter Mbah, will abide by all principles that guide a democratic system of government.

Moreover, Hon. Okey Mba, on Saturday during the PDP’s ward meeting, reiterated the commitment of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s administration in championing a new Enugu State.

Hon. Okey Mba, who is from Isienu/Akpawfu Political Ward in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, enjoined the party members to embrace the party with all their hearts and work towards helping the administration of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah achieve its set objectives for the state.

He also thanked them for their stoic support to the governor and the party and enlightened them on the ongoing construction of Smart School and the Type 11 Hospital projects in their ward.

He assured them that the forthcoming ward congresses of the party will engender unity and membership maximization.

He, however, urged active participation during the registration of party members as the membership drive has commenced across the state.
