Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has turned body-shaming criticism into a movement for self-confidence by launching a social media contest to celebrate women with big stomachs.

The actress trended online after a leaked gym photo drew mocking comments from critics. Instead of bowing to pressure, she chose to reclaim the narrative and promote body positivity.

On Instagram, Nkechi announced the challenge, pledging ₦1 million to the winner with the biggest belly.

She instructed participants to share photos or videos of their bellies, tag her, and use the hashtag #bigbellechallenge. The top three entries will be reposted before a final winner is selected.

Her caption partly read:
