Her husband soon joins in, helping to arrange and count the notes while smiling at the camera. In the background, the hit song “Abule” by Patoranking plays, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
The video has already attracted over 12,000 likes and hundreds of comments, with social media users sharing mixed reactions.
While some found the scene amusing and relatable, others teased the couple for prioritizing money over romance on their wedding night.
One user wrote: “Wedding night ke? No be honeymoon you supposed dey so.” Another commented: “If na me, I won’t count it. I’ll just be collecting small small until it finishes.”
Despite the playful banter, many agreed that the couple’s joy and excitement captured a unique side of Nigerian weddings, where cash gifts often play a major role in the celebration.
