“No Just Catch Your Papa!” — Lasisi Elenu Reacts to Viral Look-Alike Post

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Nosa Afolabi, better known as Lasisi Elenu, has expressed anger after being compared to a viral Cameroonian drummer in a misleading social media post.

The comparison began after a user on X (formerly Twitter), identified as @Filmex, shared a side-by-side photo collage of Lasisi and the Cameroonian drummer.

The post suggested that the drummer’s picture was an old photo of Lasisi before he found fame, captioning it as a message of motivation for those still struggling.

The tweet quickly gained traction and went viral, drawing thousands of reactions and eventually catching the comedian’s attention.

Irritated by the false comparison, Lasisi responded sharply in a post that further fueled online discussions. In his reaction, he wrote:

“Maaaaaaaa no just catch your papa, maaaa no jus.”

His response sparked laughter and mixed reactions among fans, with many joining the conversation to clarify that the two men only share a slight resemblance.

The man mistakenly identified as Lasisi was later confirmed to be Ela Oyono Mathieu, a talented drummer from Cameroon, known for his energetic performances and captivating drumming style.

Mathieu has recently become an internet sensation for his creativity and stage presence, earning him widespread recognition across African social media.

The confusion between the two entertainers, while humorous to some, also highlighted how quickly misinformation spreads online.
