Nollywood Actor Chinedu Ikedieze Opens Up About His Struggle with Dwarfism and Suicidal Thoughts

Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as “Aki,” has shared a personal story about his struggles with dwarfism and how it almost led him to take his own life.

According to Ikedieze, he was diagnosed with stunted growth or growth retardation at the age of nine, which led to intense mockery and taunting from others.

Ikedieze recounted how his mother’s encouragement and emphasis on education helped him cope with the challenges he faced.

He credited his mother with saving him from suicidal thoughts, saying, “I almost took my own life because of dwarfism, but my mother saved me.”
